GLOBAL YO Armenia

“Very disappointing! Very easy to buy and set up, but unfortunately what you buy (e.g. 1GB Europe package for a week) is not what you get. After exactly 24 hours the connection stopped working (about 200 MB only). Support couldn't help. They said that the 1 GB package was only for one day, although they don't even sell packages on a daily basis! So I definitely do not recommend it.”

In Armenia, Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) have emerged in recent years. These operators do not own their network infrastructure but lease access from major carriers to offer mobile services. However, most travel eSIMs rely on the infrastructure of the primary Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) rather than MVNOs.

Can I get a travel eSIM with a phone number and SMS for Armenia?

Yes, travel eSIMs that provide a phone number and SMS capability are available for Armenia. Providers such as GlobaleSIM, Roamify, Airhub, Orange Travel, and RedEx eSIM offer plans that include inbound and outbound voice as well as SMS, with validity periods ranging from one week to a month and prices starting near $4 USD for a 1GB data plan.

All of these plans use foreign dialing codes—GlobaleSIM, Roamify, Airhub, and Orange Travel use +1, +33, or other non‑Armenian prefixes—except RedEx eSIM, whose 5 GB offering delivers a local Armenian number with dialing code +374, providing local calls and SMS. Travelers should check whether the local number type meets their communication needs before purchasing.
