4S eSIM eSIM Data Plans for East Asia

4S eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for East Asia. All of its plans have a defined data cap, and once that cap is reached the speed is reduced to 1000kbps. The “Unlimited” wording in some plan names refers to unlimited validity or unlimited usage of the plan, not to unlimited high‑speed data.

Travelers can choose fixed data plans with large allowances. For example, the Asia+ 50GB plan valid for 90 days gives 50GB of high‑speed data before throttling, and the Asia+ 50GB Unlimited plan valid for 30 days also offers 50GB of data with the same reduced speed after the limit. These fixed data plans may be more cost‑effective for heavy data users than a plan that claims unlimited data but actually imposes a cap.

4S eSIM does not offer plans that include a phone number or SMS service for East Asia; the provider offers only data‑only eSIMs in that region. Travelers who need to make voice calls or send text messages can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations in East Asia may limit or block access to certain VoIP services, so it is advisable to confirm the availability of the apps you rely on before purchasing a plan.
