Monty eSIM does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for East Asia. The available plans in the East Asia region are fixed‑data packages, such as the Asia Plus plans with 20GB or 50GB of data for 180 or 365 days and the Asia plan with 10GB for 30 days. These fixed‑data options cover key destinations—including China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Macau, and Taiwan—through the provider’s network. While an unlimited plan is absent, travelers might find these larger data allowances to be more cost‑effective unless they are extremely heavy users of mobile data.

Monty eSIM does not offer any East Asia eSIM plans that include a phone number SMS capability. All East Asia plans from Monty eSIM are data‑only.

Travelers who need voice or text services can use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection. These apps work with a standard data plan and do not rely on a local phone number or SMS.
