couldn't find out what number was assigned. *221# didn't work. got the number from support. however, VoLTE is not working (during calls the phone switches back to 3G). the network provider is Contel.

If you buy eSIM with option "activate immediately" everything works fine so far.
ATTENTION: There is also an option for future activation for a specific date
-> eSIM activation in Brazil almost impossible, worked after trying for several hours
-> eSIM has been suspended after six days without any reason (just 6 of 20 GB consumed)
-> Support was unresponsive. No answer to several messages
-> Therefore my WhatsApp account has been reported and temporarily blocked!!!
Product: "Brasil LOCAL 20GB/30d"

Terrible service, I had to manually select the network they asked me to and still won't work. Not recommended.

They wrote about free test offer 250MB - but it is not true, they didn't give me this free 250MB

Signal is weak. Loose LTE. From 3G no internet. Price was 18 dollars for 10 GB.month.

I didn't get QR code still, I totally disappointed with their service
I am waiting for long time
So don't buy this sim

Not good, most of the time I could not use it. There was a signal, and people with physical SIMS on the same network had no problems.

I didn’t get a confirmation email, from the QR in the confirmation page I could not install it, because it said this QR had been used already, and when checking the code they also mention there it was showing data for a booking completely different than mine. When contacting costumer service they didn’t bother to answer and i just had the option to report them to PayPal, good thing I didn’t give them my credit card details, who knows what would have happened in that situation

I bought a top up which vanished immediately, and they refused to credit or refund. I’d avoid this provider.

Not good. When data does work, everything loads slowly but a lot of the time it doesn’t work. The coverage is terrible and j was Constantly losing data signal. I was in Salvador/Bahia and Rio. You would think coverage would be better in Rio but it was worse. It left me stranded and disrupted my whole day. Do not recommend! Also bought a voice plan and the number the gave me never worked and I couldn’t make any calls. Tried to contact them but had no response. Don’t waste your money. Avoid!

Terrible coverage, unreliable connection, always going in and out even in large cities.
Over 110 travel eSIM providers and more than 3, 600 prepaid data plans are available for use in Brazil. Because there is a wide variety of options, travelers can easily find an eSIM that matches their needs.
Many eSIM providers offer unlimited data plans for Brazil. The available options come from Firsty, Truely, abesteSIM, MicroEsim, Yesim, Yoho Mobile, Roamify, FairPlay, and Airhub. Prices range from free with Firsty’s 1‑day plan to $449.07 with Yoho Mobile’s 30‑day option, while most plans sit between $10 and $150. Speed is typically limited or may be throttled; Firsty imposes a 256 kbps cap, abesteSIM and Yoho Mobile cap speeds at 5 Mbps, and other providers state general throttling without precise limits. Travelers who require uninterrupted use should review these speed constraints and choose a plan that matches their data‑intensive activities.
In Brazil, the primary Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) are:
Vivo: Operated by Telefônica, Vivo is the largest mobile network in Brazil, offering extensive coverage and a wide range of services.
Claro: A subsidiary of América Móvil, Claro provides comprehensive mobile services across the country, including advanced data and voice solutions.
TIM: Controlled by Telecom Italia, TIM delivers nationwide mobile services with a focus on innovation and customer experience.
Algar Telecom: Serving specific regions, Algar Telecom offers mobile services primarily in parts of Goiás, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, and São Paulo states.
In addition to these MNOs, Brazil hosts several Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs), such as Datora and Surf. MVNOs provide mobile services by leasing access from major carriers rather than owning the infrastructure themselves. It's important to note that most travel eSIMs rely on the infrastructure of MNOs, not MVNOs.
Yes, travel eSIM plans that provide a phone number and SMS capability for use while in Brazil are available. The providers that offer such plans are GlobaleSIM and Roamify. Both operators supply numbers that use foreign dialing codes—GlobaleSIM’s plans use the +1 code (United States) and some Roamify plans use +33 (France). These numbers allow inbound and outbound voice calls and SMS, though the messaging service is limited to inbound SMS for most GlobaleSIM offers and to inbound/outbound SMS for most Roamify schemes. Prices for Globo SIM begin at about $4.50 USD for a 1 GB 7‑day plan, while Roamify’s 1 GB 7‑day plan starts near $15.00 USD, with higher‑capacity or longer‑validity options extending to roughly $105 for 20 GB over 365 days. If a user requires a truly local Brazilian number (+55) for local voice and SMS, a data‑only eSIM or local prepaid SIM would be necessary, but such local numbers are not offered in the plans listed above.
