Keep On Roaming eSIM Data Plans for Ethiopia

Keep On Roaming does not provide a true unlimited high‑speed data eSIM for Ethiopia. All of the plans labelled “Unlimited” actually allow only 1GB of high‑speed data, either per day or for the entire validity period, after which the speed is throttled.

Instead, Keep On Roaming offers fixed data plans that give larger amounts of high‑speed data for a set validity. One example is the 20GB 30‑day plan, which can be used for up to 30 days, and another is the 10GB 30‑day plan, both of which include tethering and have no price‑based speed reduction until the data limit is reached. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective for most travelers unless they need extremely heavy data usage.

Keep On Roaming does not provide eSIM plans for Ethiopia that include a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM plans are offered for this destination.

Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging, but they should verify that these apps are accessible in Ethiopia before purchasing, as some destinations may block or restrict specific services.

Keep On Roaming provides 12 single‑country eSIM plans for Ethiopia, with no multi‑country options. These plans range from $19 to $232 and offer data caps between 1 GB and 20 GB, valid for 1 to 30 days. Users can choose between daily data‑cap plans—5 plans with a fixed daily allowance—and fixed data‑cap plans—7 plans with a set amount of data for the entire validity period. Tethering is permitted on applicable plans.
