AirPlans eSIM Data Plans for India

AirPlans does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for India. The plans labeled “Unlimited” in the name, such as India Unlimited 1 Day or India Unlimited 3 Days, actually have a daily data cap of 1 GB (or 3 GB per day) and include a reduced speed after the cap is reached. For travelers who want more data without a daily limit, AirPlans offers fixed data plans that provide a large total allowance for a set validity period, such as the India 50GB 30 Days plan or the India 30GB 30 Days plan. These fixed data plans can be more cost‑effective for heavy data users who need a predictable, unlimited‑like experience within the plan’s validity window.

AirPlans does not provide a data plan for India that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The provider offers only data‑only eSIMs for travel there, so you would need to use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage for voice and messaging over the data link. Travelers should verify that these apps are accessible in India before purchasing an eSIM.

AirPlans provides 22 single‑country data plans and 9 multi‑country plans for India. The available plans span a price range from $1.86 to $197.92 and a data cap range from 500 MB to 50 GB. Some plans offer a fixed data amount that is available for the entire validity period, while others impose a daily data cap that limits usage each day; the fixed‑cap plans total 18, whereas the daily‑cap plans number 13. This gives customers a broad selection of options depending on their data needs and travel patterns.
