Tourist eSIM eSIM Data Plans for India

Tourist eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for India. All plans that carry “Unlimited Data” in the name actually give a fixed high‑speed allowance that resets daily and then throttle the speed. For example, the Asia (18+ countries) • Unlimited Data • 3 Days plan offers 3 GB of high‑speed data per day with a reduced speed of 1000 kbps after the allowance is used, and the Asia (21+ countries) • Unlimited Data • 1 Day plan gives 2 GB per day with a reduced speed of 2000 kbps. Travelers who need more data can choose fixed data plans such as the 100 GB 180‑day plan, which provides a larger, non‑throttled data allowance.

Tourist eSIM does not provide India eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS service. Only data‑only plans are offered for travel to India.

Travelers who need voice and messaging can normally use VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may restrict or block access to specific apps or VoIP services, so users should verify that the services they rely on are available in India before purchasing an eSIM.

Tourist eSIM offers 7 single‑country plans for India and 136 multi‑country plans that include India, giving travelers 143 plan options in total. The provider offers two main types of data coverage: plans that provide a fixed data amount and plans that cap data on a daily basis. Prices for these plans vary from about $2.41 to $426.78, while the data caps span from 1 GB to 100 GB.
