Roamic eSIM Data Plans for Maldives

Roamic does not provide a genuinely unlimited data eSIM for Maldives. The plans marked “Unlimited” actually give a fixed 3 GB per day allowance, after which the speed is throttled to 1000 kbps.

For travelers who need more data or who prefer consistent speeds, Roamic offers several fixed data plans. For example, the 20 GB plan is valid for 30 days, the 10 GB plan is also valid for 30 days, and a 5 GB plan is available for 21 days. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective unless a user requires very high data usage and is willing to accept the reduced speed that follows the 3 GB daily cap.

Roamic does not provide a Maldives eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can only purchase data‑only plans from Roamic for use in the Maldives. If a phone number or SMS service is required, users can rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these services are accessible in the Maldives before purchasing.

Roamic offers 13 single‑country data plans for Maldives, with no multi‑country options available. The plans vary from $9.00 to $377.00 and provide data caps between 1 GB and 20 GB, while validity can range from 1 to 30 days. Within the 13 single‑coverage offerings, seven plans use a daily data‑cap model, granting a fixed amount of data each day, whereas six plans employ a fixed‑cap approach, giving a set total data amount for the entire validity period.
