Zwitchy eSIM Data Plans for Maldives

Zwitchy does not offer a truly unlimited data plan for Maldives. The plans that contain “Unlimited” in their names are actually fixed data plans that provide 1GB of high‑speed data per day; after the daily limit is reached the speed throttles to 1000kbps.
Travelers who need more data can choose from the fixed‑data plans such as the 20GB plan for 30 days or the 10GB plan for 30 days, which offer larger data allowances on a 30‑day validity window. These alternatives can be more cost‑effective for many users, especially those who do not require extremely heavy usage.

Zwitchy does not offer a Maldives eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The provider sells only data‑only plans for this destination.

Travelers can use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for voice and text communications, but some destinations may restrict or block specific services. It is advisable to verify that the apps you plan to use are accessible in the Maldives before purchasing a plan.

Zwitchy offers 13 single‑country data plans for the Maldives and no multi‑country plans. These plans vary in price from $8.00 to $183.50 USD, with data caps ranging from 1 GB to 20 GB. Among them, eight plans provide a daily data cap and five are fixed‑data plans, allowing customers to choose between a set amount of data for the entire validity period or a daily allocation. Tethering is permitted on applicable plans, though some experience reduced speed to 1000 kbps.
