Jetpac does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Mauritius. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name give only 3 GB of high‑speed data per day (or 3 GB total for a single‑day plan) and after the limit is reached the speed is throttled to 1000 kbps.

Instead, Jetpac offers fixed‑data options that may be more cost efficient for most travelers. For instance, a 10 GB plan or a larger 40 GB plan are available for 30 days, both of which include tethering. These plans provide a larger data allowance without the speed reduction that applies after the “Unlimited” cap.

Jetpac does not provide Mauritius eSIM plans that include a permanent phone number or SMS capabilities. Travelers who purchase a Jetpac eSIM for Mauritius will receive a data‑only plan that offers internet access without local calling or texting. While VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram and iMessage can normally be used over the data connection for voice and text communication, some destinations may block or restrict certain apps or services.
