CocoRoam eSIM Data Plans for New Zealand

CocoRoam does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for New Zealand.

The provider offers fixed‑data plans that grant a set amount of high‑speed data for a fixed period. Examples include the New Zealand 100 GB plan valid for 30 days and the New Zealand 50 GB plan also valid for 30 days. These fixed‑data options can be more cost‑effective for travelers with moderate or large data needs compared to a pay‑as‑you‑go approach.

CocoRoam does not provide New Zealand eSIM plans that include a local phone number or SMS capability; only data‑only eSIMs are available from this provider. Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging, but some destinations may block or restrict specific apps or VoIP services, so it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are accessible in New Zealand before purchasing.

CocoRoam offers 30 single‑country plans and 47 multi‑country plans for New Zealand. The plans span a price range from $3.00 to $116.60 and data caps from 1 GB to 100 GB, with validity periods between 1 and 180 days. Some plans are fixed‑data, giving a set amount of data for the entire validity, while others are daily‑data‑cap plans that provide a daily allowance that accumulates over the validity period. Tethering is allowed on many plans, and reduced‑speed options (512 kbps or 2000 kbps) are available for certain plans.
