EtravelSIM eSIM Data Plans for New Zealand

EtravelSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for New Zealand. The plans that use the word “Unlimited” in their name actually offer a fixed daily allowance of 4 GB and the speed drops to 1000 kbps once that limit is reached.

If a traveler wants more data, fixed‑data plans are available, such as the 50 GB for 30 days plan priced at $44.99 USD. These plans give a larger total data allowance and do not impose a speed throttling after the cap is used.

EtravelSIM does not provide any New Zealand eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability; only data‑only plans are available for that destination. Travelers who need voice or text functionality can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these services are accessible in New Zealand before purchasing, as some destinations may restrict or block certain apps.

EtravelSIM currently offers 10 single‑country data plans and 14 multi‑country data plans for travelers in New Zealand. The available plans cover a price range of about $4.50 to $109.99 and data caps from 1 GB up to 50 GB over validity periods that can span from 7 to 365 days. Within these offerings, six plans feature a daily data cap that refreshes each day, while the remaining 18 plans use a fixed data cap that remains constant for the full validity period.
