Hungry eSIM eSIM Data Plans for New Zealand

Hungry eSIM does not provide a plan that offers truly unlimited high‑speed data for New Zealand. Plans that contain “Unlimited” in their name actually have a fixed daily data allowance—between 0.5 GB and 10 GB—and when the daily limit is reached the connection is throttled to a lower speed, ranging from 384 kbps to 1 Mbps.
For travelers who need more data without a daily cap, Hungry eSIM offers fixed‑data bundles such as the 50 GB 180‑day plan or the 20 GB 30‑day plan, which give extensive high‑speed data over longer periods.

Hungry eSIM does not offer a New Zealand eSIM plan that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The provider only supplies data‑only eSIMs for New Zealand, so travelers will have no local voice or text services from this plan.

Users who need voice or messaging can rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage, which operate over the data connection. However, travelers should confirm that these services are accessible in New Zealand before purchasing, as some destinations may block or restrict certain VoIP platforms.

Hungry eSIM offers 12 single‑country plans and 30 multi‑country plans that include New Zealand. The available plans range in price from roughly $2.12 to $179.36 and provide data caps between 500 MB and 50 GB. Most plans give a fixed data amount for the validity period, while a few offer daily data caps for short‑term use.
