eSIMCard eSIM Data Plans for Balkans countries

eSIMCard’s plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name are actually limited to 1 GB per day. After the 1 GB is consumed, the data speed drops to a throttled 500 kbps, so the plans do not provide truly unlimited high‑speed data while travelling in the Balkans.

Instead, eSIMCard offers large fixed‑data options for the same region. Examples include a 100 GB plan valid for 180 days and a 50 GB plan valid for 90 days, both with unthrottled 5G service in Albanian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Montenegrin, Macedonian, and Serbian networks. These fixed data plans may be more cost‑effective for travelers who need substantial data without the slowdown that occurs on the “Unlimited” packages.

eSIMCard does not provide a phone number or SMS capability for its Balkans eSIMs. Only data‑only plans are available for that region. Travelers who need voice or text can rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage, which work over the data connection and allow calls and messaging without a local phone number.

eSIMCard’s plans that cover the Balkans include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
