AlpineSIM eSIM Data Plans for Central America

AlpineSIM does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Central America. All plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name are in fact limited to a fixed amount of high‑speed data, such as 1 GB per day, or a set total data allowance for a defined validity period. If a traveler wants unrestricted access, they would need to purchase a fixed‑data plan instead.

Examples of large‑data fixed plans that cover Central American countries are the AlpineSIM Global (120+ areas) eSIM 20 GB for 30 days and the AlpineSIM South America eSIM 20 GB for 30 days. For users who consume very large amounts of data, selecting one of these fixed‑data packages may be more cost effective than the capped “Unlimited” offerings.

AlpineSIM does not provide Central America eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIMs are sold for Central America by this provider.

Travelers who need voice or messaging can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations in Central America may block or restrict access to particular apps or VoIP services, so it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on will work in the country you plan to visit before purchasing an AlpineSIM plan.
