Maya Mobile does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Central America. All of its plans are labeled “Unlimited” but the technical data shows a fixed data allowance of 5GB per day. Once a user reaches the 5GB/day threshold, the high‑speed connection is throttled to 3 Mbps for the remainder of that day; the daily allowance does not reset until the next day.

Travelers who need a high volume of data can choose a fixed data plan such as the 30 Days Unlimited Global Data plan, which offers 5GB of high‑speed data each day at 5G for 30 days, or the 7 Days Unlimited Global Data plan. These plans provide predictable validity periods and may be more cost‑effective for most travelers than paying for a nominally “unlimited” service that throttles after a daily cap.

Maya Mobile does not provide Central America eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. The only options available from this provider for Central America are data‑only eSIMs.

Travelers who need to make calls or send messages can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection, but some destinations may block or restrict certain apps.
