eSIMCard eSIM Data Plans for Central America

eSIMCard does not offer any true unlimited‑data eSIM plan for Central America. All plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name provide only 1 GB of high‑speed data per day (or 1 GB total for the 1‑day option) and automatically reduce speed to 500 kbps once the allowance is reached. Therefore, the data is not truly unlimited and the speed will drop after the limit.

Travelers looking for more data can choose from fixed‑cap plans offered by eSIMCard. For example, a 20 GB plan valid for 31 days is available for $22.70 USD, while a 100 GB plan for 180 days costs $430.64 USD. These fixed‑cap plans provide higher data allowances without the immediate speed reduction and can be more cost efficient unless the traveler requires extremely heavy data usage.

eSIMCard does not offer an eSIM with a local phone number or SMS capability for Central America. The provider’s Central American plans are strictly data‑only, so travelers cannot receive or send traditional SMS or place/receive calls through the eSIM. However, VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage can be used over the data connection to make calls and send messages.

eSIMCard offers several plans that include Central American coverage.
