MTX Connect eSIM Data Plans for Central America

MTX Connect does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for Central America. The network’s offerings in this region are fixed‑data plans with caps such as 10 GB, 4 GB, 2 GB, or 350 MB daily, each lasting 30, 14, 7, or 1 day respectively.

Choosing a fixed data plan can be more economical for most travelers, except those who would use an extremely heavy amount of data. For instance, travelers can select the 10 GB plan for 30 days at $35.38 USD or the 4 GB plan for 14 days at $17.69 USD, giving them a clear price‑to‑usage ratio while still covering Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and El Salvador.

MTX Connect does not provide Central America eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS. The provider only offers data‑only eSIMs for this destination.

For travelers who still need voice or messaging, popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage can be used over the data connection, enabling calls and text messaging without requiring a local phone number.

MTX Connect’s eSIM offering includes the OPTIMAL DAILY plan, which provides coverage across Central America in the countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua and Honduras. While this plan also extends to numerous other regions worldwide, its Central American coverage is limited to the five countries listed above.
