MTX Connect eSIM Data Plans for Central America

MTX Connect does not provide an unlimited data eSIM plan for Central America. The available plans for the region are fixed‑data packages: a 10 GB plan valid for 30 days costing $34.25 USD, a 4 GB plan valid for 14 days costing $17.12 USD, and a 2 GB plan valid for 7 days costing $10.27 USD. These plans cover Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and El Salvador, along with 131 other countries. Choosing a fixed data plan can be more cost effective for most travelers, unless the user is an extremely heavy data consumer.

MTX Connect does not provide Central America eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can only purchase data‑only plans from this provider. If a phone number or conventional text messaging is needed, one can use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection; however, users should check that the specific apps or services they rely on are accessible in Central America before buying a plan.

MTX Connect’s eSIM offering includes the OPTIMAL DAILY plan, which provides coverage across Central America in the countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua and Honduras. While this plan also extends to numerous other regions worldwide, its Central American coverage is limited to the five countries listed above.
