Tourist eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Central America

Tourist eSIM does not offer truly unlimited high‑speed data plans for Central America. Plans that use “Unlimited” in their names actually provide a fixed data cap—such as 2 GB per day or 3 GB per day—and after the limit is reached the speed is throttled (e.g., to 2000 kbps or 1000 kbps). For travelers who need more data, fixed‑data options are available. Examples include the 100 GB plan valid for 31 days and the 80 GB plan valid for 365 days, which give larger data allowances and may be more cost‑effective for heavy usage. These fixed‑data plans cover Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and El Salvador, the Central American countries included in Tourist eSIM’s service network.

Tourist eSIM does not offer Central America eSIM plans that include a phone number or the ability to send SMS. Only data‑only eSIMs are available for Central America from this provider. Travelers who need voice or messaging can rely on VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage, which operate over the data connection.
