Wiiline eSIM Data Plans for Central America

Wiiline does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM plan for Central America; the available plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name all have a capped high‑speed allowance of 1 GB per day. After the daily limit is reached, the data rate is reduced, so the service is not unlimited in the sense of offering high‑speed data without limits.

Travelers can instead choose from fixed‑data plans that offer larger allowances. For example, Wiiline offers an 80 GB plan valid for 365 days or a 40 GB plan valid for 180 days, and there is a 20 GB plan for 31 days. These fixed plans may be more cost‑effective for users who need a higher overall data volume while traveling in Central America.

Wiiline does not provide any Central America eSIM that includes a phone number for voice or SMS. The provider’s Central America offerings are data‑only eSIMs, so inbound or outbound phone calls and SMS are not supported. Travelers who need to communicate can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages.

Wiiline offers several eSIM plans that cover Central American countries. The eSIM Plan – South America 12 Countries – covers Costa Rica, Panama and El Salvador; the eSIM Plan – Global 104 Countries – covers Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador; the eSIM Plan – Global 138 Countries – covers Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and El Salvador; and the eSIM Plan – Global 120 Countries – covers Costa Rica, Panama and El Salvador. All of these plans also include coverage in other regions, but the only countries within Central America that are included are the ones listed above.
