Yatelo eSIM Data Plans for Central America

Yatelo does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Central America. The plans that are labeled “Unlimited” actually carry a 5GB data cap, and when that limit is reached the speed drops to 1000 kbps. For travelers who need more data without a speed reduction, Yatelo offers fixed data plans such as the 20GB 30‑day option or the 5GB 30‑day option, both of which provide consistent 5G speed throughout the validity period. Choosing one of these fixed data plans can be more cost‑effective unless the user expects to consume data beyond the allocated amounts.

Yatelo does not provide Central America eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. All of its eSIM offerings for Central America are data‑only, so users cannot receive or send SMS messages or make voice calls over the cellular network. However, data connectivity is available, allowing the use of popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage to make calls and send messages without needing a local phone number.

Yatelo’s Central‑American coverage appears on two main plans. The LAM plan serves Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and El Salvador; the GLB plan also serves those five countries, while a smaller LAM offering is limited to Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador. All of these plans extend beyond Central America into other regions, though that coverage is external to the area in question.
