eSIMCard does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for East Asia. The plans titled “Unlimited” give a fixed allowance of 1 GB per day (or 2 GB for the “Unlimited Plus” options); once that limit is reached the speed is throttled to 512 kbps or 2000 kbps.

Customers who need a larger data volume can choose from eSIMCard’s fixed‑data offers, such as the 100 GB eSIM Data for 30 days in Asia priced at $109.25 USD, or the 100 GB eSIM Data for 180 days in Asia at $132.43 USD. These options provide a higher data amount and stay unthrottled until the cap is exhausted, which can be more cost‑effective for heavy data users.

eSIMCard does not provide East Asia eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIMs are offered for the region.

Travelers can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging, which eliminates the need for a local phone number.

All eSIMCard plans named eSIM Data For in Asia, Global Lite, Orange eSIM Data For in Global, and the two versions of Orange eSIM, Global, Unthrottled cover China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Macau in East Asia, while the Global Max plan extends that coverage to include Mongolia.
