Gigapanda eSIM Data Plans for East Asia

Gigapanda does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data eSIM for East Asia. All of its plans have a hard data limit, either a daily cap of 3 GB or a fixed allowance such as 10 GB, 20 GB, 30 GB or 50 GB for a 30‑day period. After the high‑speed allowance is reached, the speed is throttled to 384 kbps, which is considered “unlimited” only at that reduced speed.

If a traveler needs a large amount of data, Gigapanda offers fixed data plans such as the 50 GB plan for 30 days or the 30 GB plan for 30 days. These plans provide a substantial high‑speed allowance before the speed reduction applies, and they can be more cost‑effective than a plan that offers unlimited data at a very low speed.

Gigapanda does not provide an East Asia eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The provider offers only data‑only plans for that region. Travelers who need voice or messaging can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these services are accessible in the specific East Asian destinations they plan to visit, as some locations may block or restrict certain apps or VoIP services.

Gigapanda’s eSIM offering includes a plan called “Asia · ·” that covers Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Macau, and Taiwan. The same plan also extends to other regions, but those areas lie outside East Asia.
