GLOBAL YO eSIM Data Plans for East Asia

GLOBAL YO does not provide an unlimited data eSIM plan for East Asia. Instead, the company offers fixed data plans, such as the Asia Explorer XL – 60 days – 100 GB, which covers China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and 26 other countries, and the Global Explorer 100 – 365 days – 100 GB, which also includes East Asian markets and 94 additional countries. These fixed‑data options can be more cost‑effective for most travelers unless the user is an extremely heavy data consumer.

GLOBAL YO does not offer East Asia eSIMs with a phone number or SMS capabilities. Only data‑only eSIM plans are available from this provider. Travelers can use VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging.

GLOBAL YO’s East‑Asian eSIM offerings comprise several plans. The Asia Explorer XL and Asia Explorer XXL packages both cover China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. The Global Explorer Lite and the Global Explorer (Stand w'Ukraine) plans add Hong Kong and Macau to that list, maintaining coverage of China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. The Global Explorer 150 package replaces Taiwan with Mongolia while still including China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Macau. Across the portfolio, all seven approved East‑Asian countries—China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Mongolia—are covered by at least one of these plans, while each plan also extends service into numerous regions outside East Asia.
