Astaroam does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Latin America (LATAM). The plans that carry the label “Unlimited” actually give a fixed amount of high‑speed data each day – for example, the Unlimited – 3 days plan offers 3GB per day for 3 days, after which the speed is reduced to 1000kbps.

Travelers who need more data can choose Astaroam’s fixed data plans, such as the South America 10GB 30Days plan or the South America 5GB 30Days plan, which provide a set amount of high‑speed data for 30 days. These options may be more cost‑effective unless a user requires continuous, unrestricted data usage.

Astaroam does not provide Latin America (LATAM) eSIM plans that include a local phone number or SMS capability. The provider offers only data‑only eSIMs for that region. Travelers who need calls or text messaging in LATAM can use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should check that these services are accessible in their destination country because some locations may block or restrict certain apps.
