Horrible experience. I was never able to activate the eSIM. I kept getting kicked out as the app attempted to register on different networks. I followed dozens of troubleshooting steps with customer service, all without success. I escalated the issue twice, but it was never resolved. I ended up spending four hours of my vacation trying to get it to work.
In the end, I purchased another eSIM from a different provider — it worked like a charm. I even bought another one for use in Panama, which also worked flawlessly and was incredibly easy to activate.
Avoid this service like the plague. It feels like a scam. Even the app looks like an online casino, not a professional eSIM provider.
Horrible experience. Never again. I lost $25 on the Global XL plan, which I never got to use.
Horrible. The service never worked. SIM never was able to register with a network. I tried troubleshooting for 2 days losing 2 or 3 hours talking with CS, they asked me to do several things nothing worked, they gave another Sim same thing. The CS was slow to respond and powerless, I escalated the ticket and nobody answer. I purchased a Sim from other company and worked great. Never again! Beware is a scam because I lost my $25!
I bought the 30 days plan esim for Colombia and tried to activate it upon arrival without success. I had to buy another esim from another company which worked right away and for 1 week. After several exchanges, the esim finally was activated. BUT, everytime I needed WIFI to connect to the network and get data. I told them the problem and asked for refund since I never was able to use it. They refused. So you buy an esim to get data but to get data you need wifi to connect to the network.
Worst experience with esim, especially if you need it to move around in cities like Bogota.
It didn't work for me because the app limits usage to specified phone models. I tried to use it on an Infinix Smart 8 and it's not compatible, then on a Samsung A34 and still not compatible. I recommend expanding the list of models with access to eSIM so it can be more widely used
Terrible service, I had to manually select the network they asked me to and still won't work. Not recommended.
They wrote about free test offer 250MB - but it is not true, they didn't give me this free 250MB
Unfortunately Global eSIM is not working 98% of the time. Only 3G and nothing loads.
Worked at Varadero airport then in Havana no issues. Be patient Cuba's network isn't the best
Worked at Varadero airport then in Havana no issues. Be patient Cuba's network isn't the best
Pretty good experience, forgot to use the coupon code but price isn’t too bad comparative to other providers. One small issue my QR code didn’t appear in the email and so I had to reach out but they were honestly pretty response and got it resolved in less than 10 mins. Would definitely use again. Service and connection was reliable and stable too.
NEVER TRY TO BUY THE AIRHUB FOR MEXICO UNLIMITED PACKAGES , ONCE YOU REACH 5G DATA OF USAGE ,YOU CAN NEVER ACCESS TO INTERNET ANYMORE, SPEEDTEST SHOWS THE IP IS FROM HOUSTON, 40 USD FOR 5G PROBABLY 2 YOUTUBE VIDEOS WOULD RUN IT OUT, BEST DEAL EVER. AND THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN , 0 KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE INTERNET AND ONLY REPEATING THE SAME STUFF ; RESTART REBOOT AND RESET, USE THIS MONEY FOR BETTER GOOD INSTEAD OF GETTING SCAMED
Scam alert! Do not use Global eSIM.
My girlfriend and I went to Colombia and we chose Global eSIM. Don’t do that, whatever the price. In Bogota, the biggest city in the country, it wasn’t working 95% of the time. We tried to get explanations from them, but they just don’t care. Worst company ever.
Cartagena works okay, Medellin works very well, but do not buy for Bogota… Customer service is a big mess!!! 6-7 emails just to get useless nonsense that’s already in the help center, and I have to repeat everything and confirm tons of times… In short, 5 days without service in the largest capital city of Colombia — a real joke!!! Definitely don’t buy!!! Now I’m trying to get a refund… already at 5 emails… A scam!
Overall, it worked well. When I first connected it in Cuba it worked at the airport but not at the hotel; it started working next morning, for the whole duration of my vacation.
Bought the 7GB eSIM. Really slow and unstable with frequent connection drops. Would not recommend.
AT&T connection is mostly non-existent in Mexico - I never saw it available in the Yucatan, and very unreliable elsewhere. Customer support very unhelpful, refused to refund, blamed my settings. Don't bother, jetpac for example worked instantly without issue.
Zero stars if it were possible. Absolutely terrible. Easy to set up and activate, but the data signal was absolutely the worst. Like dial up 1999. Images would not load. Basic internet use was nearly impossible. Only functional for texting. I don't know what the quality is in other countries, but I would not use Breeze again, obviously. They would have to pay me.
Great experience, truly local. Downloaded and was online once I landed. I was in Bogota, Suesca, Cartagena. Always good speed and local number. Thanks!
Bought 2x 7GB eSIMs. It worked on Claro but paid for 7GB and they both stopped working at 5 GB.
Support quickly reactivated one but not the other.
eSIMdb coupon did not work. It looked like it applied but when I paid with Visa card it was the full amount.
Also eSIM provider is Plus in Poland so internet is in Polish and you get annoying EU pop ups on Google and every site.
Local Claro SIM is much cheaper, faster, and no hassles.
Data was unusably slow in major cities (CDMX, Oaxaca), spikey throughput but sub 500kbps and unable to stream music. Support is all automated and has yet to get back to me.
Don't buy from Airhub. They sold me an eSIM for North America. But the IP address assigned was Polish, which means that all internet traffic was routed from NA to Poland and back - very poor performance. They don't tell you anything about this when you buy at the website. Don't use them.
Be sure to turn on the Data Roaming option for this service provider! I was frustrated when the eSIM didn’t work initially, but it worked perfectly after enabling Data Roaming. The Monty eSIM seems to be based in the UK, and the plan I chose has a Netherlands phone number, not a Mexico number. This means Data Roaming is necessary to use this eSIM and plan in Mexico. Keep this in mind and enjoy your journey!
Bought an e-sim to use in Cuba but it doesn’t work. After connecring to a wifi to install it i get a message thaf the QR code i received ia not valid. The app also does not seem to work here. Be careful!
They did not deliver the eSIM in time, I asked many time for refund and they never refund. The support is awful, always asking for waiting. They claim to deliver eSIM within 2 hours and I waited all day and left Canada without the service. Had to select an other eSIM supplier.
Keep away from them.
Writing this with review in Nov 2024, using GlobaleSIM on my iPhone. After successfully testing Gigsky I went with the cheapest price/GB. It worked well in the cities I visited: Baracoa, Imías, San Antonio, Guantánamo.
I noticed two differences, which indicate having both eSIMs improved my connectivity:
1. The phone shows 4G (GlobaleSIM) instead of LTE (Gigsky).
2. In one remote area with no GlobaleSIM connection I still had network with Gigsky.
In my case the payment via Paypal got stuck, but I assume this was a one-off. The GlobaleSIM support was super friendly and helpful during the extra week this took.
Supposedly on AT&T network, Worked in CDMX, but not at all on the coast in Oaxaca.
I’m facing a very bad experience with GlobaleSIM in Colombia ! Since I was in Bogota, I had a terrible connection and the data wasn’t working… I’m in Cartagena and the speed is very slow, only 3G connection and just for a couple minutes because the connection breaks every time, and took 5 minutes or more to get back connected
I get in contact with the support, I did what they said but at the end, they said that they can do nothing to improve the connection.
Writing this review in Nov 2024 using a GigSky esim on my iPhone. It has worked well in Guantánamo, Imías, and right now in Baracoa. After changing my location I often have to enable/disable Flight Mode to get a working internet connection (LTE symbol). This might be a quirk of the cuban cellular network.
Signal is weak. Loose LTE. From 3G no internet. Price was 18 dollars for 10 GB.month.
I purchased a 30-day plan to give it a try. However, when I followed the connection instructions and scanned the QR code on-site, it showed the message, "This code is invalid." In other words, I couldn't even set up the eSIM to use it. Was I scammed? Since there are no Wi-Fi rental companies that cover Cuba, I finally found this eSIM provider, but I'm extremely disappointed. I don't think I'll ever buy from them again.
Worst eSim we've ever used and we have travelled a lot and used many different eSims around the world. This was a complete waste of money. Even thought we seemed to be connected to LTE most of the time we couldn't actually download anything, send messages, or surf the web at all.
We couldn't even download the mandatory update to the GigSky app because the connection didn't actually work.
simply would not work well at all. left me stranded while trying to get Ubers often. Bad experience in Puerto Escondido, and also unusable in the middle of CDMX
Not working and also customer response is very slow. If you need it to work quickly choose another service.
I didn't get QR code still, I totally disappointed with their service
I am waiting for long time
So don't buy this sim
Not good, most of the time I could not use it. There was a signal, and people with physical SIMS on the same network had no problems.
I didn’t get a confirmation email, from the QR in the confirmation page I could not install it, because it said this QR had been used already, and when checking the code they also mention there it was showing data for a booking completely different than mine. When contacting costumer service they didn’t bother to answer and i just had the option to report them to PayPal, good thing I didn’t give them my credit card details, who knows what would have happened in that situation
Complete scam. You receive an esim that doesn’t even connect to the internet. Do NOT buy from them!
Couldn't even get on the app the link to verify email took me in a loop never allowing me on and customer support bounced back. Seems like a scam to me.
Very poor experience in Mexico city, even in the historical center the AT&T connection would always drop and completely lose signal.
Do yourself a favor a find a esim provider that uses Telcel exclusively.
I bought a top up which vanished immediately, and they refused to credit or refund. I’d avoid this provider.
After buying more than 20 sim cards from them, this one was a super bad experience after which I think I'd better pay more on other providers than use this one.
I bought a pretty expensive 40 day sim for $70, it said beforehand that it works only on Iphone, so I got an iphone specifically for this. After you order it says - esim will be activated in 12 hours (its the type where you give them your imei and they register you rather than scanning a QR).
12 hours later 2 CS agents contact me separately saying there is a problem activating. I spend 5 days corresponding with them (I needed the card next day after I bought it), customers support end up ghosting me. Asking for a refund finally got a response full week after failed activation. Now 50 days after the claimed refund I havn't got it and they do not respond via any channels.
And I am a recurring customer, I bought more than 20 sims from them already, some of them worked, some didn't, I'd say chance is around 70 working to 30 not working. Every time trying to get a refund is super painful, customer support is awful, but I got at least portion of the money (they refunded me the wrong purchase once). But this time they decided to just lie and hide. So be warned. Also amount of time you need to spend corresponding with them is just abysimal, it is not worth the money. Their voice plans are usually the best, but its a lottery with very high cost of losing.
