Lumbus eSIM Data Plans for Latin America (LATAM)

Lumbus does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Latin America. The “South America 18 Unlimited” plans give 3GB of high‑speed data each day and after that daily allowance the speed is throttled to 1 Mbps, so the high‑speed data is capped. Fixed data plans are available instead, such as a 20GB bundle for 30 days at $105.99 USD or a 10GB bundle for 30 days at $65.99 USD. These allow the full amount of high‑speed data for the specified validity without a reduced‑speed break point. Selecting a fixed data plan can be more cost‑effective unless a user requires continuous unlimited use.

Lumbus does not provide an eSIM plan that includes a phone number or SMS capability for Latin America (LATAM). Only data‑only eSIMs are available in this region. Travelers who require voice or messaging can use VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but some destinations may block or restrict access to these services, so users should verify the availability of the apps they rely on before buying a plan.

Lumbus offers several eSIM plans that include coverage across Latin America. The Global (120+ areas) plan covers Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Paraguay, El Salvador, and Uruguay. The South America plan adds Martinique to that list. The Global139 plan mirrors the Global plan but also includes Martinique and Mexico.
