“Wasted so much time trying to get their plan to work, just to save a few bucks (lesson learned).
I purchased a plan that was meant to work across Oceania for 30 days. Firstly I arrived in Vanuatu, it wouldn't connect at all. I reached out to them, they helped me out to connect, but even after that the connectivity would be randomly lost for up to a day at a time... Then went on to Fiji - it was fine. Now in Samoa, again - no internet whatsoever, this time I reached out to the support, but haven't heard back in 3 days, plan is about to expire anyway.
Do yourself a favour and stick to a more reputable eSIM provider.”
mobineX does not provide an unlimited data eSIM plan for travelers in Samoa. The only options available are fixed‑data plans that specify a hard cap and a validity period. For instance, mobineX offers a 30GB–30days plan priced at $310.00 USD and a 15GB–30days plan priced at $160.00 USD, both of which are capped at the stated data amount and must be used within the given number of days. Choosing a fixed‑data plan can be more cost‑effective for most users, unless a traveler expects very heavy data usage beyond the provided cap.
MobineX does not provide a Samoa eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers who purchase a mobineX eSIM for Samoa will receive only a data-only plan.
Without a local phone number, users can still communicate via popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may block or restrict access to specific apps or VoIP services, so travelers should verify that the apps they rely on are available in Samoa before purchasing a mobineX plan.
mobineX offers six single‑country data plans for Samoa and does not provide any multi‑country plans that include Samoa. The available plans vary in price from around $9.50 to $232.50 and offer data caps ranging from 1 GB to 30 GB, with validity periods between three and thirty days. All of these options deliver a fixed amount of data; no daily data cap plans are listed.
