Lotso Travel eSIM Data Plans for Tanzania

Lotso Travel does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Tanzania. Every plan listed has a hard data cap, and after that cap is reached the speed is throttled to a low rate (for example, the Africa 50GB Unlimited eSIM 5 days offers 10GB/day at full speed and then unlimited data at 128 kbps). The “Unlimited” label in the plan names refers to the fact that data continues to be available after the cap, but at a reduced speed, not to an unlimited high‑speed allowance.

Travelers who need a large amount of data can choose from Lotso Travel’s fixed data plans, such as the Africa 50GB Unlimited eSIM 5 days or the Global 50GB eSIM 5 days, which provide a substantial data allowance for a set validity period. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective for most users unless they are extremely heavy data consumers.

Lotso Travel does not provide Tanzania eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can only obtain data‑only eSIMs from this provider for use in Tanzania. A data‑only connection allows the use of VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage, but the availability of these apps can vary; it is advisable to confirm that the required services are accessible in Tanzania before purchasing.

There are 56 data plans that cover Tanzania, and they are available only as part of multi‑country packages; there are no single‑country plans for Tanzania from Lotso Travel. All of the plans range from $20.95 to $376.95 in price and from 500 MB to 50 GB of data, with validity periods between five and thirty days. Among these, 24 plans offer a daily data cap while 32 provide a fixed data amount, giving users the choice between a predictable daily allowance or a larger lump sum that can be used over the entire validity period.
