See what travelers are saying about their Tunisia eSIM experience. Real feedback from real users to help you pick the best plan for your trip.

“Calls & SMS didn't work at all. Could neither receive or make/send. The eSIM doesn't appear to support calls at all - it's a VoIP service via the app, but doesn't work anyway.
Many users have the same problems. Had I read the reviews before purchasing them I wouldn't have wasted my money.
Data was ok, sometimes slow even with good signal.”

“It just doesn’t work”

“This service is a joke and a lost of money lost. It is not working in Tunisia. 90% of the time is disconnect and useless. You can get 10GB from Orange, from the airport with 8 Euro, or 27GB for 12 Euro. Cheaper and working perfect. I contacted customer service for help or refund but they don't bother to help you. I received no replay. Don't get fooled by the owner that provide a review for every comment on this site. They really don't care about you, they care only in taking your money for nothing.
July 27, 2024 update: no reaction from customer service, no refund, they don't care!”

“Worked well on both Ooredoo and Orange signals”

“Didn’t work at all”
Everything you need to know about using eSIMs in Tunisia
Approximately 130 travel eSIM providers offer more than 5, 300 prepaid data plans for Tunisia. With a wide variety of options available, travelers can easily find an eSIM that suits their needs.
Tunisia offers several carriers that provide unlimited‑data eSIM options. Firsty’s one‑day plan is free but includes advertising and throttles speeds to 256 kbps. The other carriers—abesteSIM, Yoho Mobile, Roamify, Yesim, and Truely—offer unlimited data for periods ranging from one to thirty days (Truely’s maximum is twenty days). All of these plans allow tethering and apply speed limits that can fluctuate; most throttle to a maximum of about five megabits per second (abesteSIM even caps reduced speed at 128 kbps during throttling). Pricing varies widely, with packages starting around a few dollars and extending up to roughly one hundred and eleven dollars for longer‑term or higher‑speed options. Travelers who need consistent high speeds should compare the stated speed limits with their expected usage, but any of these unlimited plans typically cover routine activities such as web browsing, streaming, and social‑media use while visiting Tunisia.
Tunisia's mobile network infrastructure is supported by three major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs):
Tunisie Telecom: The oldest and largest telecommunications operator in Tunisia, offering a comprehensive range of mobile services, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G data services.
Ooredoo Tunisia: A subsidiary of the Qatari telecommunications company Ooredoo, providing a wide array of mobile services, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G data services.
Orange Tunisia: Part of the multinational Orange Group, offering various mobile services, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G data services.
In addition to these MNOs, Tunisia has several Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) that provide mobile services by leasing access from major carriers. Notable local MVNOs include Lycamobile Tunisie, which uses Tunisie Telecom's network, and Asel Mobile. It's important to note that most travel eSIMs rely on MNO infrastructure, not MVNOs.
Travel eSIM plans that include a phone number and SMS are available for Tunisia. Providers such as GlobaleSIM, Roamify, Orange Travel, Earth Esim, and TravelKon offer plans that provide telephone numbers with dial‑ling codes +1 (U.S./Canada) or +33 (France). These numbers support inbound voice calls and sms in all plans, while some card types also allow outbound SMS. Because these dialing codes do not match Tunisia’s local code +216, the numbers are not local Tunisian numbers but can still be used to receive calls and texts from the destination.
Prices for these plans start near $4 for 7‑day data‑only packages and rise above $90 for long‑term options that span up to 365 days, with validity periods ranging from 7 to 365 days and data caps spanning 1GB to more than 100GB. The plans also often allow tethering and 5G connectivity, but the telephone numbers remain foreign to Tunisia.
