“Through two weeks of a four week trip it has essentially never worked baring a few moments here and there where it miraculously connected to the Digicel Network. I used it once for about 200mb as a hotspot before that stopped as well. Virtually useless and needed to buy a local SIM, from the same provider (Digicel) which works perfectly. This provider, in the Caribbean at least, should be avoided. Plus the help email responses just kept telling me they could not find any issues and to ensure I have settings correct, so pretty useless in that regard as well as they never actually found a solution.”
eSIM Cards does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for Barbados. All of the plans listed for Barbados are fixed data plans with a set data allowance and a validity of 30 days.
Travelers can choose from several high‑data options, such as the Barbados 20GB Travel eSIM for 30 days, the Barbados 15GB Travel eSIM for 30 days, or the Global Vodafone 25GB for 30 days plan that includes coverage in Barbados. These fixed data plans can be more cost‑effective for most users, unless a traveler expects to use data beyond the included allowance.
eSIM Cards currently does not provide a Barbados eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can purchase data‑only plans from eSIM Cards, but any voice or messaging functionality would need to be performed through VoIP applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram. It is advisable to confirm that these services are accessible in Barbados before relying on them for communication.
eSIM Cards provides six single‑country plans and three multi‑country plans for Barbados. The plans vary from about $4.33 to $101.30, with data offerings between 1 GB and 25 GB and validity periods ranging from 7 to 30 days. The single‑country plans give a fixed data amount for the duration of the validity, while the multi‑country plans allow coverage beyond Barbados, often across the Caribbean region, and typically include tethering as a feature.
