nextSIM eSIM Data Plans for Botswana

No, nextSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Botswana. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their names actually have a hard data cap—1 GB or 2 GB per day—and once that limit is reached the speed is throttled to 512 kbps or 2000 kbps.

Travelers who need more data can choose from nextSIM’s fixed data plans, which offer larger allowances without a speed reduction. For example, the eSIM Botswana 20GB 30Days Standard plan gives 20 GB of high‑speed data for 30 days, and the eSIM GLOBAL 50GB 30Days Premium plan provides 50 GB of data for the same period. These fixed plans are typically more cost‑effective for users who consume a lot of data.

nextSIM does not offer an eSIM with a local phone number or SMS capability for Botswana. The provider’s Botswana plans are strictly data‑only, so travelers will not receive incoming or outgoing voice or text services.

Travelers can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but it is advisable to confirm that these services are accessible in Botswana before purchasing a plan, as some destinations may block or restrict certain apps.

nextSIM offers 24 single‑country data plans and 22 multi‑country data plans for Botswana. The plans available cover data volumes from 1 GB to 50 GB and are priced between $6.31 and $1, 262.62. Travelers can choose between fixed‑data‑cap plans, which provide a set amount of data for a fixed period, and daily‑data‑cap plans, which replenish their data allowance each day. Some plans also include reduced speed options of 512 kbit/s or 2000 kbit/s to suit different usage needs.
