Horizon eSIM eSIM Data Plans for Bulgaria

Horizon eSIM does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Bulgaria. The available Bulgaria‑specific plans are fixed‑data options, each with a hard data cap: a 50 GB plan valid either 30 days or 180 days. Horizon also offers a 100 GB plan valid 180 days that covers Bulgaria as part of a broader European coverage. For travelers who need a large amount of data, choosing one of these fixed‑data plans is generally more cost‑effective, unless the traveller expects to use an extremely high volume of data.

Horizon eSIM does not provide a Bulgaria eSIM plan that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIM options are available from this provider for travel in Bulgaria.

Travelers who need to place voice calls or send text messages may use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may block or restrict access to these services, so it is advisable to confirm that the apps you rely on work in Bulgaria before purchasing a plan.

Horizon eSIM offers 11 single‑country plans for Bulgaria, and it also has 25 multi‑country plans that include Bulgaria as one of the covered destinations. The single‑country plans vary from a modest 1 GB data cap to a hefty 100 GB option, with prices ranging from about $0.31 to $309.16. The multi‑country plans span similar data capacities, from a few gigabytes to 100 GB, and the price range follows the same broad spectrum. Many of the plans allow tethering, enabling data sharing across devices within the validity period.
