FootySIMs eSIM Data Plans for Ethiopia

FootySIMs does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM for Ethiopia. The only plan bearing an “Unlimited” name offers 1GB per day of high‑speed data for 7 days; after that limit the speed drops to 512kbps. Travelers who need more data can opt for fixed data plans such as the 5GB for 30 days plan or the 1GB for 7 days plan, which provide those amounts of data at full speed for the stated validity periods.

FootySIMs does not offer an eSIM that comes with a local phone number or SMS capability for Ethiopia. Travelers will only have access to a data‑only eSIM and can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram for voice and messaging. Be aware that some services may be blocked or restricted in Ethiopia, so it is advisable to verify that the apps you rely on are available before purchasing a plan.

FootySIMs offers three single‑country data plans for Ethiopia, with no multi‑country options available. The plans range in price from about $16.59 to $121.62 and provide data capacities between 1 GB and 5 GB. Among the three plans, two are fixed data‑cap offerings while one is a daily‑data‑cap plan, allowing a set amount of data each day. The plans also allow tethering, though the speed is capped at 512 kbps for those that apply the reduced speed option.
