Globie eSIM Data Plans for Ethiopia

Globie does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Ethiopia. The plans labeled “Ethiopia Unlimited for X days” give a daily allowance of 3GB and after that limit is reached the speed is reduced to 1000 kbps; the data allowance stops at that point.

Travelers who need more high‑speed data can choose a fixed data plan instead, such as the 20 GB for 30 days plan, the 10 GB for 30 days plan, or the 5 GB for 30 days plan, all of which provide consistent high‑speed data for the specified validity period.

Globie does not provide an eSIM plan for Ethiopia that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. The available Ethiopian eSIMs from this provider are data‑only, offering internet access without traditional voice or text services. Travelers who need to communicate while in Ethiopia can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection. However, awareness should be maintained that some destinations may block or restrict certain VoIP services, so it is advisable to confirm that the apps relied upon will function in Ethiopia before purchasing a data‑only plan.

Globie offers 11 single‑country data plans for Ethiopia; there are no multi‑country plans available for this country. The plans are divided into two types: six daily data cap plans, where the data allowance resets each day, and five fixed data cap plans, which provide a set amount of data for the entire validity period. Prices span from about $10.49 to $546.99, while data caps range from 1 GB up to 20 GB, giving travelers a wide selection of options to suit different usage needs.
