nextSIM eSIM Data Plans for Ethiopia

nextSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Ethiopia.
All plans that include “Unlimited” in their name have a fixed data allowance: for example, the eSIM Ethiopia Unlimited 1Days Standard gives 1 GB of high‑speed data, and the eSIM Ethiopia Unlimited Plus 1Days Standard offers 2 GB. Once the allowance is reached, the speed is throttled to 512 kbps or 2000 kbps, depending on the plan.

If a traveler needs higher data capacity without the speed reduction, nextSIM offers fixed data plans such as the eSIM Ethiopia 20GB 30Days Standard, which gives 20 GB of high‑speed data for 30 days, or the eSIM Ethiopia 10GB 30Days Premium, which provides 10 GB of 5G data for the same period. These plans may be more cost‑effective for users who require a larger amount of data.

No, nextSIM does not provide an eSIM for Ethiopia that includes a phone number or SMS capability. All plans from nextSIM for Ethiopia are data‑only. Travelers can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging, but access to these services can be restricted in some destinations, so it is wise to check that the apps you rely on work in Ethiopia before purchasing.

nextSIM offers 29 single‑country and 4 multi‑country data plans for Ethiopia. The single‑country collection includes both daily‑data‑cap and fixed‑data‑cap options – 10 plans cap the data each day, while 23 provide a fixed bundle that does not reset. Across these offerings the price spectrum runs from about $4.82 to $528.46, the data caps range between 1 GB and 20 GB, and the validity periods vary from 1 to 90 days.
