Zwitchy eSIM Data Plans for Ethiopia

Zwitchy does not provide a true unlimited data eSIM plan for Ethiopia. All plans labeled “Unlimited” have a data cap of 1 GB per day; after that limit is reached the connection speed is reduced to 1000 kbps.

If you need a large amount of high‑speed data, Zwitchy offers fixed data plans such as the Ethiopia 50 GB 30 days plan priced at $118.50 USD or the Ethiopia 30 GB 30 days plan at $74.50 USD. These plans give a hard data allowance that must be used within 30 days, after which the connection terminates.

Zwitchy does not provide an eSIM for Ethiopia that includes a phone number or SMS capability. The provider offers only data‑only plans for this destination, meaning users cannot receive calls or text messages directly on the device.

Travelers who need voice or messaging can still use popular VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection. However, some destinations may restrict or block certain apps or VoIP services, so it is advisable to check the availability of these services in Ethiopia before purchasing a plan.

Zwitchy provides a range of data plans that are usable in Ethiopia. The provider lists 15 single‑country coverage plans specifically for Ethiopia, and an additional 27 multi‑country plans that include Ethiopia among their destinations. Within these selections, plans are further differentiated as daily‑data‑cap offers (24 options) and fixed‑data‑cap offers (18 options). Across the board, prices start around $4 and can climb to just under $192, while data limits span from 1 GB up to 50 GB and validity periods range from 3 to 30 days. Some plans also allow tethering with a reduced speed of 1000 kbit/s.
