MTX Connect eSIM Data Plans for Kenya

MTX Connect does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for travelers in Kenya.
Instead, the provider offers fixed‑data packages. For example, the 10 GB plan is valid for 30 days and costs $34.90 USD, while a 4 GB package is available for 14 days at $17.45 USD. For lighter usage, there is a 2 GB option at $10.47 USD for 7 days and an even smaller daily plan of 350 MB for $4.06 USD. These fixed‑data plans cover Kenya and more than 135 other countries, and can be more cost‑effective unless extremely heavy data consumption is expected.

MTX Connect currently does not provide an eSIM for Kenya that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only plans are offered from the provider, so travelers cannot receive an inbound or outbound call number or send text messages over the local network. However, they can still use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over a data connection for calling and messaging.

MTX Connect currently offers four data plans that include Kenya as part of a broader regional or global coverage area. They do not currently offer single coverage plans specifically for Kenya. These plans generally range from approximately $4.06 to $34.91 and provide between 350MB and 10GB of data, with validity periods spanning from 1 to 30 days.
