nextSIM eSIM Data Plans for Kenya

nextSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Kenya. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name are fixed‑data plans that allow a set amount of high‑speed data—such as 1 GB per day or 2 GB per day—and after that limit is reached the speed is throttled to a reduced rate (for example 512 kbps or 2000 kbps).

If a traveler needs a larger data allowance, nextSIM offers fixed data plans that are not labeled “Unlimited.” Examples include the eSIM Kenya 20 GB 30 days Standard plan and the eSIM GLOBAL 50 GB 30 days Premium plan, which provide a substantial amount of high‑speed data without the speed reduction that applies to the “Unlimited” plans. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective for most users unless they require very heavy data usage.

nextSIM supplies only data‑only eSIM plans for Kenya, and none of its plans provide a local phone number or SMS capability. Travelers who need a Kenyan number for voice or text will need to use a different provider.

Because the eSIM offers high‑speed data, users can still reach out over the internet using VoIP apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage. However, some destinations may restrict access to these services, so it is wise to confirm that the apps you rely on work in Kenya before purchasing a plan.

nextSIM provides 24 single‑country data plans and 22 multi‑country data plans for Kenya. Prices span from $6.08 to $1, 262.62, while data caps range between 1 GB and 50 GB. The catalogue includes both fixed data cap plans—offering a set amount of data for the entire validity period—and daily data cap plans that allocate a specified amount of data each day.
