abesteSIM eSIM Data Plans for Mauritius

abesteSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Mauritius. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name give a hard limit of 1GB per day and, after that amount is used, the speed is reduced to 5000 kbps.

Instead, abesteSIM offers fixed data plans that give a larger, capped amount of high‑speed data. For example, the eSIM Mauritius – 3 Days / Total 50 GB plan provides 50 GB of data for three days, and similar 5‑day, 7‑day, and 10‑day plans are also available. These fixed‑data options can be more cost‑effective for travelers who need a substantial amount of data while staying in Mauritius.

abesteSIM does not provide Mauritius eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. The provider only offers data‑only plans. Travelers who need to make phone calls or send text messages can use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection, although some destinations may block or restrict these services, so it is advisable to confirm that the necessary apps are accessible in Mauritius before purchasing a plan.

The data supplied for abesteSIM lists only aggregate figures for the provider’s entire catalogue—61 single‑country plans and 228 multi‑country plans in total, along with 119 daily data‑cap plans and 170 fixed‑data‑cap plans. It does not break down the number of plans that are specifically available for Mauritius, so a precise count for that country isn’t available from the information given.
