AirPlans eSIM Data Plans for Mauritius

AirPlans does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Mauritius. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name actually give 1 GB of high‑speed data per day and, once that amount is used, the speed is throttled to 512 kbps (or 1280 kbps for some “Essential” variants).

Travelers who need more data can choose from AirPlans’ fixed data plans, such as the Mauritius 50 GB 30 days, Mauritius 30 GB 30 days, or Mauritius 20 GB 30 days options. These plans offer larger data allowances for a set validity period and can be more cost‑effective for most users.

AirPlans does not provide a Mauritius eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability; only data‑only plans are available.

Travelers can still use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging. However, some destinations may restrict access to these apps, so it is advisable to verify that the services you rely on are available in Mauritius before purchasing an AirPlans eSIM.

AirPlans offers 22 single‑country data plans and 30 multi‑country plans in Mauritius. The available plans run from a low‑cost entry point of $2.66 for 500 MB of data to a higher‑end option of $197.92 for 50 GB, with validity periods ranging from 1 to 60 days. The catalogue includes both fixed data cap packages and daily data cap options, providing travellers with flexibility depending on whether they prefer a set amount of data for the entire validity or a daily‑limited allowance.
