Lumbus eSIM Data Plans for Nepal

Lumbus does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Nepal. The plans that carry the “Unlimited” name actually give a daily allocation of 3GB and then reduce speed to 1000kbps once that allowance is used, so there is a hard cap on high‑speed data.

Travelers who need more data for the duration of their trip can choose from Lumbus’s fixed data plans. For example, the 20GB 30‑day plan delivers 20GB of high‑speed data over a month at a set price, and the 10GB 30‑day plan offers 10GB for the same period. These fixed‑data options may be more cost‑effective than the “Unlimited” product, especially for users who consume a larger amount of data.

Lumbus does not provide an eSIM plan for Nepal that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Travelers can purchase only data‑only plans from Lumbus for Nepal. For voice and messaging, users can rely on VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection, though some destinations may restrict certain apps, so it is advisable to confirm that the applications you plan to use are accessible while in Nepal.

Lumbus offers six single‑country data plans for Nepal, with no multi‑country options available. The plans vary in price from $17.99 to $188.99 and in data cap from 1 GB to 3 GB over a validity period of 3 to 30 days. Among these, four plans feature a daily data cap, allowing users to consume a set amount each day, while two plans provide a fixed data amount that can be used at any time during the validity period. All plans allow tethering.
