Halo eSIM eSIM Data Plans for New Zealand

Halo eSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data plan for New Zealand. The plans that carry the name “New Zealand Unlimited” give 3GB per day at full speed; once that daily amount is reached the speed is reduced to 1 Mbps for the remainder of the day. This is a fixed‑data plan with a daily cap, not an unlimited data offering.

Travelers who need more data can choose Halo eSIM’s fixed data plans, such as 20 GB for 30 days or 10 GB for 30 days, which provide larger data allowances without a speed reduction. These options may be more cost‑effective unless the user requires very high data consumption.

Halo eSIM does not offer any New Zealand eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers who need to use a local number for calls or texts would need to rely on Voice‑over‑IP or messaging applications over the data connection, which typically work with services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage. However, some destinations, including New Zealand, may block or restrict certain VoIP services, so travelers should confirm that their preferred apps are accessible before purchasing a plan.

Halo eSIM provides 10 single‑country data plans and 14 multi‑country plans for travelers in New Zealand. The plans vary from 1 GB to 20 GB of data, with validity periods ranging from three to thirty days, and prices covering approximately $3.95 to $70.06. Some plans offer a fixed data amount, while others use a daily data cap.
