merdata eSIM Data Plans for New Zealand

Merdata does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for New Zealand. All of the plans listed for New Zealand have a hard data cap, with the largest offering 50 GB for 180 days and the others offering 20 GB for 30 days or 90 days.

If you need a large data allowance, you can choose one of merdata’s fixed data plans. For example, the 50 GB 180‑day plan or the 20 GB 30‑day plan give you a set amount of data that must be used within the specified validity period. These fixed plans can be more cost‑effective for most travelers unless you are an extremely heavy data user.

Merdata does not offer a New Zealand eSIM that includes a phone number or SMS capability. Travelers who need to place voice calls or send messages can use VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage over the data connection, but they should verify that these services are accessible in New Zealand before purchasing the plan.

merdata offers 16 single‑country data plans and 28 multi‑country plans that include New Zealand. The available plans range in price from about $1.43 to $102.09 and in data cap from 100 MB up to 50 GB, with validity periods from one to 365 days. Several plans provide a fixed data amount for the entire duration, while others offer daily data limits that reset each day. The single‑country selections focus solely on New Zealand connectivity, whereas the multi‑country options allow coverage in New Zealand alongside other destinations.
