SimSmash eSIM Data Plans for New Zealand

SimSmash does not have a true unlimited data eSIM for New Zealand. Every listed plan for the destination has a hard data cap, even those with “Unlimited” in the name; the cap is reached after which the connection speed drops to a reduced speed if that information is provided.

Instead, SimSmash offers fixed data plans with larger allowances. For example, a 50GB plan is available for 180 days, and a 20GB plan is available for 30 days. There are also daily‑validity plans that give 10GB for 1 day. Choosing one of these fixed data plans can be more cost‑effective for travelers who need a substantial amount of high‑speed data while traveling in New Zealand.

SimSmash does not provide New Zealand eSIM plans that include a phone number or SMS capability. Only data‑only eSIMs are available from the provider for travelers to New Zealand. Users who need voice or text communication can connect to VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection, but they should confirm that these applications remain accessible in New Zealand before purchasing, as some destinations may restrict certain VoIP services.

SimSmash offers 11 single‑country plans and 29 multi‑country plans for New Zealand. Prices range from $0.89 to $94.99, data caps from 490 MB to 50 GB, and validity between 1 and 180 days. Some plans allow tethering.
