Skratch eSIM Data Plans for New Zealand

Skratch does not provide a plan that gives unlimited high‑speed data for New Zealand; plans titled “Unlimited” actually provide 2 GB per day and then throttle speed. Travelers who need more data can choose fixed‑data plans that give a hard limit, such as the New Zealand 20GB 30d plan for $28.99 USD or the New Zealand 10GB 30d plan for $17.99 USD. These are available with a 30‑day validity and are often more cost‑effective for typical data use.

Skratch does not provide an eSIM for New Zealand that includes a phone number or SMS support; only data‑only plans are offered.

If you need to communicate while traveling, you can use VoIP services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage over the data connection for calls and messaging. Some destinations, however, may block or restrict certain apps, so travelers should verify that the VoIP services they rely on are accessible in New Zealand before purchasing an eSIM from Skratch.

Skratch has 11 single‑country eSIM packages that cover only New Zealand and another 11 multi‑country packages that include New Zealand. The single‑country options are based on a fixed data amount, ranging from 1 GB to 20 GB for prices between $3.99 and $209.70, and are valid for 3 to 30 days. The multi‑country bundles often use a daily data‑cap model; some plans provide a fixed amount in advance while others allocate a smaller daily allotment, but the overall data range and price band remain the same.
