eSIMCard eSIM Data Plans for Africa

eSIMCard does not provide a truly unlimited high‑speed data plan for Africa. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in the name actually offer a fixed data allowance, such as 1 GB or 2 GB per day, after which the connection is throttled to a reduced speed (512kbps for the 1 GB plans and 2000kbps for the 2 GB plans). Because the cap is reached each day, data usage is still limited and the speed drops once the daily allotment is exhausted.

For travelers who need larger data volumes without daily caps, eSIMCard sells fixed‑data plans. Examples include a 50 GB plan valid for 30 days (price $179.55) and a 100 GB plan valid for 30 days (price $325.55). These plans provide a straightforward choice for users who need higher data allowances while keeping costs predictable, especially when the user is not an extremely heavy data consumer.

eSIMCard does not offer any eSIM plans for Africa that include a phone number or SMS capability. All of its Africa eSIMs are data‑only; there are no inbound or outbound voice or text services available. Travelers who need to communicate can use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage, which work over the data connection provided by the eSIM.
