mobineX eSIM Data Plans for Africa

MobineX does not have any truly unlimited high‑speed data plans for Africa. The plans that carry “Unlimited” in their name give either 1 GB or 5 GB of high‑speed data and then throttle speed to 128 kbps or 1 024 kbps once the allocation is reached, so they are not unlimited.

Instead, mobineX offers fixed‑data plans that provide larger data allowances. The 100 GB plan valid for 60 days, the 50 GB plan valid for 30 days, and a 30 GB plan also with a 30‑day validity are available. These plans keep the full high‑speed rate up to the data limit, making them often more cost‑effective for travelers who need substantial data.

mobineX does not sell African eSIMs with an active phone number or SMS capability. Customers can only purchase data‑only eSIMs from the provider for African destinations. If a traveler wishes to make or receive voice or SMS communications, they will need to rely on data‑based services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage. These apps work over a data connection and allow text and voice communication without a local phone number.

MobineX’s Unlimited Standard eSIM plan covers the following African countries: Algeria, DR Congo, Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Malawi, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Tanzania, Uganda, Tunisia, Zambia, South Africa and Morocco.
