mobineX does not provide a plan that delivers unlimited high‑speed data for travelers in Africa. The products labeled “Unlimited” actually carry a data cap of 1GB or 5GB for 1 day; once the cap is reached the speed drops to 128kbps or 1024kbps, respectively. Because the speed is throttled after a small amount of data, these plans are not truly unlimited.

Instead, mobineX offers fixed‑data options that give larger allowances before any throttling. For instance, a 100GB plan valid for 60 days is available for $287.50 USD, and a 50GB plan valid for 30 days is available for $152.50 USD. These fixed‑up plans can be more suitable for travelers who need substantial data for extended periods.

mobineX does not sell African eSIMs with an active phone number or SMS capability. Customers can only purchase data‑only eSIMs from the provider for African destinations. If a traveler wishes to make or receive voice or SMS communications, they will need to rely on data‑based services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage. These apps work over a data connection and allow text and voice communication without a local phone number.
