mobineX eSIM Data Plans for Africa

MobineX does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Africa. Although some plans carry the “Unlimited” name, each has a fixed data cap of 1GB or 5GB and after that cap is reached the speed throttles to 128kbps for the Unlimited Standard plan or 1024kbps for the Unlimited Gold plan. Travelers who need more high‑speed data can choose from MobineX’s fixed‑data plans, such as the 100 GB plan valid for 60 days or the 50 GB and 30 GB plans valid for 30 days. These options give large amounts of data without the speed reductions that apply to the “Unlimited” plans.

mobineX does not sell African eSIMs with an active phone number or SMS capability. Customers can only purchase data‑only eSIMs from the provider for African destinations. If a traveler wishes to make or receive voice or SMS communications, they will need to rely on data‑based services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage. These apps work over a data connection and allow text and voice communication without a local phone number.

The Unlimited Standard eSIM plan from mobineX offers coverage in the following African countries: DR Congo, Republic of the Congo, Algeria, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Madagascar, Mauritius, Malawi, Nigeria, Chad, Tunisia, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, and Zambia.
