mobineX eSIM Data Plans for Africa

MobineX does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Africa. The plans that carry the word “Unlimited” in their name—Unlimited Standard and Unlimited Gold—actually offer a 1 GB or 5 GB high‑speed data allowance respectively, after which the speed is throttled to 128kbps or 1024kbps. Because of this reduction, these plans are not truly unlimited.

Instead, mobineX offers fixed‑data options such as a 100 GB plan valid for 60 days, a 50 GB plan valid for 30 days, and a 30 GB plan also valid for 30 days, among other choices. These fixed plans give travelers a larger amount of high‑speed data without the post‑cap speed cut and may be more cost‑effective for most users.

mobineX does not provide eSIM plans with a local phone number or SMS functionality for Africa. Travelers using a mobineX eSIM in African destinations will receive only a data‑only plan, so no inbound or outbound voice or text messages are supported through the SIM. However, common VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage can be used over the data connection for calls and messaging, providing an alternative means of communication.
