nextSIM eSIM Data Plans for Africa

nextSIM does not offer a truly unlimited data eSIM for Africa. The plans labelled “Unlimited” in the catalog provide only 1GB or 2GB of 5G data before speeds are reduced to 512 kbps or 2000 kbps. For travelers who need more data without throttling, nextSIM offers fixed‑data plans such as the 50 GB / 365 days Economy plan and the 20 GB / 30 days Standard plan, both covering multiple African countries and delivering full 5G speed throughout their validity period.

NextSIM does not provide Africa eSIM plans that include a phone number or support SMS. The provider offers only data‑only eSIM plans for that region.

Because no telephony or SMS capabilities are available, travelers can use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages, but a traditional phone number or SMS channel is not part of the plans.

nextSIM’s Africa‑regional eSIM plans cover a broad set of countries. The eSIM Africa Standard, eSIM Africa Economy and all variants of the eSIM Africa Unlimited Plus Standard (including the Standard and Unlimited Plus editions) all include Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Madagascar, Mauritania, Nigeria, Tunisia, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa and Zambia. The eSIM Global Standard, eSIM Global Unlimited Standard and eSIM Global Unlimited Plus Standard add Cameroon, Mauritius, Réunion, and Seychelles to this list, while the premium tier plans (eSIM Africa Premium and eSIM Global Premium) further extend coverage to DR Congo, Republic of the Congo, Algeria, Gabon, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Sudan, Senegal and Chad. All of these countries fall within the approved list for African coverage.
