nextSIM eSIM Data Plans for Africa

nextSIM does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM for Africa. The plans labeled “Unlimited” actually contain a fixed data allowance—ranging from 1 GB per day on the Standard plans to 2 GB per day on the Plus plans—and the speed is throttled to 512 kbps or 2000 kbps once the cap is reached.

Instead, travelers can choose from fixed‑data plans that cover the same region. For example, nextSIM’s 20 GB 30‑day plan, priced at $133.29, offers full‑speed data for the same set of African countries, while the 50 GB 365‑day economy plan at $126.49 covers many of those nations as well. These higher‑capacity options may be more cost effective for users who consume significant data.

NextSIM does not provide Africa eSIM plans that include a phone number or support SMS. The provider offers only data‑only eSIM plans for that region.

Because no telephony or SMS capabilities are available, travelers can use popular VoIP applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage over the data connection to make calls and send messages, but a traditional phone number or SMS channel is not part of the plans.
