Virgin Connect Roam eSIM Data Plans for Africa

Virgin Connect Roam does not provide an unlimited data eSIM for Africa. All available plans for the continent have a specific data cap, with the largest offered cap being 20GB for 30 days at US$135.50.

Travelers who need more data can choose a fixed data plan instead. Options include the Africa 20GB plan, the Africa 10GB plan, and the Africa 5GB plan, each lasting 30 days and featuring tethering. Selecting a fixed plan may be more cost‑effective unless a user requires very high data usage.

Virgin Connect Roam does not offer an Africa eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. All of the provider’s Africa plans are data‑only; travelers can still use internet‑based messaging and calling applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram and iMessage over the data connection.

The Virgin Connect Roam plans cover the following African countries: Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Madagascar, Mauritius, Nigeria, Réunion, Tunisia, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia, Cameroon, and Seychelles.
